MIDRAND HINDU DHARMA SABHA has identified various needs in our community that we could assist with, such as the need for a place of worship by the Hindu community, counseling services, provision of food (both cooked and Hampers) on a daily basis, youth programmes, health services, Venues to facilitate weddings and funerals and more.

To enable the afore-mentioned Midrand Hindu Dharma Sabha has embarked on a journey to establish a Well Being Center that seeks to cater for the Midrand and surrounding community where young and old come together so that our Vedic heritage and wisdom is passed on between generations and where the members of the Hindu community will connect, care for and support each other and the community at large.

With this in mind MHDS has undertaken to purchase property and build on it to provide the following :

A WELL-BEING CENTRE, which would encompass :

  • Consulting area for the elderly and needy to be able to obtain medical and health services from medical and other Professionals who offer their services on a Pro-Bono basis
  • 24 call/help line
  • Restaurant and kitchen for the provision of food and hampers

Hall and conference venue:

  • Hall, that would offer full services for weddings, conferences, funerals etc
  • Hindu Temple to cater for the promotion of Hindu Dharma, daily prayer and service (satsang)
  • Yoga and Meditation facility

Activity and learning centre to accommodate the youth and elderly in the community with activities :

  • Computer centre
  • Music lessons
  • After school tuitions
  • Life skills training
